I spent this past week-end in London, and visited The Designer Wedding Show at Battersea Park. I had heard that this show was the epitome of London wedding chic- turns out that was a complete understatement! Besides getting to see some of the hottest wedding vendors in the UK, like the edible masterpieces from Linda Fripp Cake Designs, and the fit-for-a-queen bouquets from Mary Jane Vaughan Floristry, I also almost got to see The Dress: Carrie’s stunningly over-the-top Vivienne Westwood wedding dress from Sex and The City. I say “almost” because the actual dress worn in the film is apparently on tour somewhere in Asia- the one shown this weekend was a smaller (but just as fabulous) version of the one sported by Ms. Bradshaw. Needless to say, it was one of the highlights of my week-end!
Have heard nothing but good reports from the Battersea show. Bravo.
Sounds like you had a lot of fun! Glad to read about this event after reading about the demise of NY’s Fashion Week.
I was also very impressed with the show, and hopefully, will attend in person next year with our own booth
