Ever since I saw Colin Cowie show off his Gift Closet on the Oprah show a few years ago, I’ve been obsessed with luxurious gift wrap. Alas, Parisian living doesn’t exactly warrant space for a full-on gift closet, but I have been able to sequester a portion of our basement for mes cadeaux. One of my favorite gifting inspiration blogs as of late is Sande Chase’s A Gift Wrapped Life. This beautiful blog is not only chock-full of creative tips and ideas for giving your gifts that extra-special “je ne sais quoi“, there’s also a sweet online boutique, The Wrap Room, where you can find small boxed gifts and Gift Wrap Sets. Besides being indulgently practical, the Gift Wrap Sets- which can include imported papers, silk ribbon, rubber stamps and paper flowers- actually make beautiful gifts themselves. I also love the fact that many of the sets have a French or Parisian slant, like the Pink Paris, Paris Bird, or the upcoming Versailles set. The perfect touch for that upcoming French or Paris-themed wedding or celebration, n’est-ce que pas?
