As far as wedding resources go, girls have it pretty easy. Between Martha, family, girlfriends, Knottie Brides, the Style Network and her fabulous wedding planner, it would be pretty hard for a woman to make it to her wedding day without having at least an inkling of what she wanted out of her Big Day. For some reason though, there just aren’t as many resources out there for guys. I can’t tell you how many, um… “disagreements” I’ve witnessed between couples due to the groom-to-be’s seemingly lack of enthusiasm about the planning of his wedding. I think that’s really unfair since, other than being bossed around by his fiancée’s wedding posse (see above), a guy doesn’t really have anywhere to go for wedding input or inspiration. I found a really cool website today, though, called GroomGroove.com which is an awesome resource for grooms-to-be. It’s got articles like “A Grooms Guide to Engagement Rings”, and “Dealing with a Bridezilla”, as well as tips for paying for the wedding and writing a guest list. There’s even a section for the Best Man (with advice like “A Speechmaking Survival Guide”). The articles are short and to the point, and are written in a casual, frank tone that I think will appeal to most guys. Bookmark this one for your future hubby and his pals (and be sure to sign him up to receive the GroomGroove newsletter while you’re at it.)
