My daughter and finance are vacationing in Europe now - he will begin at the Paris School of Business in Sept. and she will return to U.S. They are considering marrying in France in August 2011 and especially love the Provence area (Arles, Avignon). I am going to send this link to her but would love any suggestions you may have on the best place to start. Thank you,.

This is really helpful and Paris is the most romantic place in the world to have a wedding!

As a bride-to-be ever since my fiance proposed to me with a gorgeous diamond engagement ring. it would be like a fairy tale to have a Parisian wedding in the summer time and instead of in the church we would just have it outdoors.

Gorgeous photos too!

I would even make another' suggestion- come with a letter/recommendation from the priest at your home parish and from the person who did your marriage preparation classes saying something about the seriousness of your religious belief in marriage. So many French couples who are completely non-practicing Catholics, use the church wedding as a photo op, that I think the French clergy have a tendency to immediately accuse you of the same thing. We found that the parish that we belonged to here in Paris took the marriage preparation classes very seriously and I think that by showing them the effort that you have already put into the religious preparation of your wedding, you will gain some Brownie points that might sway the matter.
