giveaway: the best places to kiss in paris

best places to kiss in paris

It all started with a kiss. Or maybe it ended with a kiss. Or maybe the kiss came along somewhere in the middle.  No matter WHEN it happened, I’m sure you remember WHERE you were when you had your first kiss in Paris. Or maybe, like mine, your first Parisian kiss was tangled up in the whirlwind of the second, third or eighteenth kiss. But even so, I’m sure there’s one that stands out among all the rest. The one at that café?  On the metro?  In a taxi? Beneath the Eiffel Tower, remember?   Today, April 11 marks the 3rd anniversary of the parisian party blog, and to celebrate this milestone, I’m giving away this oh-so-handy guidebook, “The Best Places to Kiss in Paris” by Thierry Soufflard. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post, sharing your most memorable Parisian kiss (openly or anonymously, fact or fiction…).  I’ll randomly select a name from all comments left by Monday, April 12, and post the winner on Tuesday.  Thanks for sharing, and hope you enjoy the trip down memory lane!

We were on the RER, and a young couple was sucking face pretty heavily. For some reason my parents and aunt and uncle were enamored with them. And once the young couple got off at their stop, my aunt and uncle started mimicking them, making out in the same position. My very young cousins, sisters, and I were duly grossed out.

It was our first date and we spent 8 hours walking around the city, talking, eating, laughing and getting to know each other. After a nice cheese and charcuterie plate (even though I don’t eat pork and pretended to like it so as not to appear finicky… the things we do for love!) on rue Montorgueil, we headed back toward reamur sebastopol. It was a hot summer day, everyone was out and about, but my husband didn’t seem bothered. I said to him, I feel like there are things I want to say but can find the words. He replied “sometimes words aren’t necessary” and he proceeded to stop me in my tracks on the street, in front of passerbys, and kiss me - our first kiss! This of course led to more walking and stopping to kiss… which garnered quite a lot of smiles from onlookers. So I guess you could say the best place to kiss in Paris is anywhere… in the street, on a bus, in a restaurant, wherever you happen to be when the moment feels right!

Hi! The most memorable kiss was December 31, 2006 at midnight in front of the Eiffel Tower. My husband gave me a great birthday present that year(my birthday is 12/19) It was pouring that night but my wish was to be there by midnight. We left the hotel early to enjoy the festivities and we had dinner and dessert in front of the Eiffel Tower- hot dogs-hehehe and Nutella crepes for dessert. I think about Paris on a daily basis and I think about that moment as well.

    Best regards,
    Wanda

Beautiful images! My first kiss in Paris, let alone my most memorable kiss, is yet to come, but it will and it will be make me weak in the knees. =)

My first kiss with my boyfriend in Paris was on the balcony of our hotel in the Fifth as soon as we got into the city! Many more followed.

I haven’t been to Paris. But if it is all about first kiss, mine happened in the balcony of my house. Can’t forget it though.

Having only visited Paris with my best girlfriends so far, my favorite kiss was at midnight on New Year’s Eve at Cafe de Flore. My girlfriends and I were there eating cheese omelettes and drinking champagne waiting for the new year to roll in. As midnight struck, all of the patrons began wishing each other Bonne Annee. As we were five women together with no men, there wasn’t a lot of kissing going on. But then our very handsome waiter came around to the table and gave us each a kiss and a wish for a happy new year. It was lovely that he thought we each needed a new year’s kiss, and even though we didn’t know him it made the moment that much more special.

My first kiss in Paris came after my boyfriend and I had spent 2 days straight traveling by combination of plane, ferry, train, and foot. None of our plans had gone right from the time we landed, and Paris was our back up plan where we would go to collect our thoughts and rethink our route. This was his first time in Paris, my second, and the first thing we did was order a pair of crepes. One bite- and we new it was going to be okay. Smelly, exhausted, and completely warn down, we saw hope in Paris, and shared a kiss in front of the carousel in the center of Republique. We ended up staying in Paris for two weeks, a week longer than originally planned, and cannot wait to get back.
