chic parisian party cocktail: green tea mojito

mojito-in-parisParis is in the middle of a heat wave, and what better way to cool off than by taking une petite pause at the idyllic urban oasis, La Cour de Marbre at the Four Seasons George V. Along with their afternoon menu of special tea-time treats, you can choose from a selection of green teas from Japanese boutique, Jugetsudo.  If you’re looking to whet your whistle with something a little cooler, try one of their Green Tea milkshakes, or, better yet-  a Green Tea Mojito.

Recreate a hot summer day in Paris chez toi with a group of friends, a mellow soundtrack and this Green Tea Mojito recipe:

juice of 1/2 lime
6 large mint leaves
2/3 cup brewed green tea
1 - 1 1/2 ounce white rum
1/2 ounce agave nectar (or simple sugar to taste)
lots of crushed ice

Pour the lime juice into a highball glass and add the mint. Crush the mint with a spoon. Fill the glass with ice and add the tea, rum and agave nectar. Stir well and garnish with a fresh sprig of mint and a wheel of lime. Put your sunglasses on, crank the ipod up, and r-e-l-a-x…
