If you happened to have passed along the quai beneath the Pont des Arts this past Saturday, you would have stumbled upon a very special early Valentine’s Day treat: the Institut Bonheur (Institute of Happiness), a Parisian social group, attempted to break the World’s Record for the longest continuous French Kiss. Through the groups’ Facebook page, participants were urged to come in couples, and once there, were asked to sign a waiver promising not to sue if they contracted any dreaded lurgies from their little love-in.
Now, I’m not really sure who previously held this most prestigious of titles, or if the Institut and it’s members broke the record, but it certainly looks as if they had fun trying! Happy Valentine’s Day!
