What’s the absolute worst gift that you’ve ever received from your “significant other”? That polyester floral granny scarf? An Enjoli Gift Pack? I am really, really lucky to be married to a great gifter, but back in college I dated a guy who just never seemed to get it right. He would spend ridiculous amounts of money on stuff that had nothing to do with me, like the time he got me a $500 burgundy cowl-neck sweater for my birthday. Nothing wrong with cowl-necks, they’re just not my style- and he should have known better. What he should have had back in the day was The Little Pink Card.
The Little Pink Card offers a stylish way for a woman to give her special details to the man in her life. Slip one into your beau-hunks’ wallet, and he’ll have all the info he needs to get you the perfect prezzie. The Little Pink Card contains all your vital stats, plus the little things that he should know, but always seems to forget while shopping under pressure. Stuff like your favorite flower, favorite color, favorite store to shop at- as well as your anniversary date and ring size (ahem!). Now, I have to tell you that when I told my (French) husband about TLPC, he tried to give me the old, ” You American women want to control everything… always take the surprise out of everything…it’s the thought that counts…etc., etc.” line. Well I say, “If you’re gonna do it, do it right!”
Christmas will be here before you know it. Better go to www.thelittlepinkcard.com and order yours now!

Eek! I’ve been tagged by Saundra at planning…forever events. It’s been a while since I’ve gotten one of these, and I really don’t think there is anything left to reveal, but…here goes:
4 Things I Did Today:
1. I had a nice, long chat with my father-in-law who was in town just for the day. He’s so sweet and funny- I wish he lived closer to us.
2. Checked out a venue for an upcoming fundraiser that’s in the works (zipping the lips…)
3. Started my September expenses, but then got sidetracked by old episodes of ANTM on You Tube. I hate doing expenses (although I do like the reimbursement part…go figure)
4. Finally stopped looking for the perfect paperstock for some invitations that I’m creating. The paper clearly does not exist anywhere but in my head. I wish I had admitted that to myself last week- I’d be almost finished with them by now.
4 Things On My To-Do list:
1. Finish designing, printing and assembling the aforementioned invitations
2. Figure out indoor/outdoor games for the ten 7-year-olds who will be invading my house in one week
3. Back up my computer. (Famous last words..)
4. Order my holiday cards
4 Of My Guiltiest Pleasures:
1. Buying something from Jo Malone at Le Bon Marché
2. Ordering champagne at lunchtime.
3. Watching back-to-back seasons of ANTM on You Tube
4. Gü
4 Random Facts About Me:
1. One of the highlights of my annual trip back to the States is going to Walgreen’s. In France, you’re forced to rely on the attending pharmacist’s personal preference for whatever cure you might need, so it’s refreshing to be able to wander the aisles, read the backs of boxes, and make my own decision about what’s best for my body.
2. I still practice my Academy Awards© acceptance speech. Sometimes.
3. I get an alarmingly deep feeling of self-satisfaction when I watch “Clean House“.
4. Ummm..I have a cold and my head is throbbing and I can’t think of a fourth one, so I am just going to post those 3.
