In An Audrey Kind of Mood

January 21, 2008

The best remedy for an Audrey kind of mood is just to ride it out. Today, the doctor prescribed comfy jammies and a heaping spoonful of “Funny Face”. Continue reading ‘In An Audrey Kind of Mood’

A Sweet Destination Wedding Gift Idea

January 17, 2008

I don’t know if it’s because it’s the end of the holiday season, or the fact that it’s been raining in Paris since August, or maybe I’m just PMS’ing, but I swear I almost cried when I saw these sweet sterling silver tokens from Tales from the Earth, an online silver gift shop based in the U.K. From their website: “Carry this sterling silver token with you wherever you travel. The compass represents the many paths you have to choose from, but always a safe journey. The words – the same moon around the world – are a reminder that on the night of a full moon, the moon appears full to every point on earth; however far away, your family and friends look up to the same moon. This is our bond.” awwww…. Wouldn’t these make the nicest gifts for bridesmaids or groomsmen- especially for a Destination Wedding? I’m all verklempt…

Paris Wedding Trends 2008: Drama

January 15, 2008

One of the biggest Paris wedding trends that I noticed at the Salon du Mariage at the Carrousel du Louvre last week was Drama. This particular Salon always seems to have a bit of Vegas glamour- and this year’s show was no exception. Besides the bold, dramatic colors that I mentioned the other day, there was also quite a bit of silver- and LOTS of Bling. Diamant Blanc lived up to their name and reputation with several over-the-top, crystal beaded gowns. But Max Chaoul stole the show with his futuristic (huh?) silver ballgown with feather accents (and gloves to match!)
